My Exhibition at The Heron Theatre

My exhibition of paintings and drawings (mainly portraits) is now on at The Heron Theatre, Beetham, Cumbria. Formerly an 18th Century Grammar School, the venue is now home to music, art, theatre and film. https://www.theherontheatre.com/

As you can see from the poster above, I live in the hamlet of Slackhead and have been amused to get post addressed to me at Slaphead, Flackhead and Blackhead, but it is actually the topographic name from Northern Middle English slack meaning ‘shallow valley’ (Old Norse slakki). So now you know!

Below are some images from the hanging of the pictures, we are very lucky to have this charming and unique amenity in our village.

And an image of me with a painting I’m working on in the studio!
